What is The Salary Survey?

The ASET Salary Survey is an online service where you can enter your salary information for the previous year, once every 365 days, and see how it compares to current market trends. ASET members, employers, recruiters, students and future technology professionals can all gain valuable information from the survey, and use it to make informed decisions for the future. Survey responses accurately reflect actual income levels and can complement the salary information provided by government and industry. Once you’ve filled out your previous year’s salary information, you’ll instantly have access to live market data. This data is always changing, so check back in regularly to see how you salary compares.

USING THIS REPORT

ASET sends out the Salary Survey to members every year. The questions on the survey go over annual income figures, professional demographics, years of experience, and overall retention. Members are under a professional and ethical obligation to answer questions accurately and honestly. This is not a survey of employers or a report of salary ranges. This survey is not intended to place limitations on the compensation set by ASET members for services rendered. ASET advises comparing various sources when evaluating salaries and income levels.

MEMBER-DRIVEN DATA

The ASET Salary Survey collects income data to present average salary numbers for technicians and technologists in Alberta and the Canadian Territories. The summaries are categorized by technical field, experience level, ASET certification and other criteria. ASET members provide their detailed income data voluntarily and anonymously. Submissions are restricted to one per ASET member, and are completely anonymous.
